This Project is being commissioned by Daventry District Council, on behalf of the West Northamptonshire Joint Planning Unit (WNJPU).  The work will form part of the preparation of the Local Development Frameworks for the West Northamptonshire Local Authorities: Daventry District, Northampton Borough and South Northamptonshire Councils. 

The WNJPU which comprises of Daventry District Council, Northampton Borough Council and South Northants Councils have commissioned Syzygy Leisure to produce a comprehensive local assessment and strategy for Sports Facilities in West Northamptonshire.  This is in light of the significant growth proposals are outlined for the towns of Daventry, Northampton and Towcester (Rural Service Centre). 

The strategy will examine the current and future demands for major sports facilities in the area based on sound planning and sports development principles.
