Liz Behnke

With more than twenty years working in the leisure industry, Liz possesses a wide range of skills in the fields of inward investment, as an applicant, assessor and advisor. She has considerable experience in facility design, development and operation, working with projects in the private, voluntary and public sectors. These projects have included a wide range of facility types across a considerable variety of scales. Liz is an experienced Sports Development Officer who has worked in rural, urban and inner city environments. In her career she has been involved with the writing and development of leisure strategies, plans and research projects. She is well respected as a trainer and facilitator.

Mike Behnke

Within the sport and leisure industry Mike has held a variety of roles in the public and voluntary sectors.   He has a wide-ranging background which has seen him develop and successfully implement policies and strategies for sport at local, regional and national levels. Mike has particular expertise in equity, volunteer and club development at strategic level, and in sports science and medicine.    Mike is a case manager for Sporting Equals Equity Standards.   As a qualified teacher he also has a thorough understanding of the education sector. In addition he has considerable experience of events management for a wide range of audiences.   Mike has a good understanding of Slavic languages and is a fluent Polish speaker.
